How to Increase your energy and wake up a SUPERHERO!!!

bodyI am hearing and seeing a lot people in the world today looking for more energy, whether it be with the use of coffee, teas, energy drinks or any other supplements that stimulate the body or say ENERGY on the label.

The good news is that you already have ALL the energy you are going to get in this lifetime, you just have to unblock the obstructions hindering the flow of energy.

Einstein, Tesla and some of the greats said that, you, me, and everything in the universe is made up of energy. If we are made up of energy, and we want more energy, wouldn’t it make sense to feed ourselves foods that actually have energy to give us?

The foods you eat are one of the big contributing factors on how your body runs, recovers, digests, and increases your natural energy. It has been said that 70% of the body’s energy goes into digesting what we eat. Think about your foods as being on one side or the other of chemistry.

There are only two sides to chemistry, either Alkaline or Acidic. Alkaline foods contain lifeforce energy and are living, healing, hydrating, and nutritive. Acidic foods on the other hand are mucus forming and very clogging to the digestive system and the lymphatic system (the body’s system responsible for carrying out toxic waste products) and they contain NO lifeforce energy.

Ideally, we need balance between the two, but we want to be slightly more alkaline for Vitality.

Think about this for a second, if you planted food item from the alkaline food group like, say an apple seed in the ground, what happens? You would grow an apple tree, because there is lifeforce energy in that food and once the seed is germinated, it will grow, just as nature designed it. If you plant something from the acidic food group such as meat, cheese, or wheat in the ground, what happens? It becomes moldy and rotten, because it contains NO lifeforce energy. These foods are responsible for clogging up the digestive tract and the lymphatic system, and this can and will always lead to all kinds of challenges ranging from fatigue, colon cancer, acid reflux, diverticulitis, and the list goes on.

So if you want to increase your bodys natural energy and you want to have a healthy body, we must focus on these FOUR important areas.

  • DIGESTION– We must digest what we eat
  • ABSORPTION– We must absorb what we digest
  • UTILIZATION– We must be able to utilize what we absorb
  • ELIMINATION– We must be able to properly eliminate

When you improve your digestion and elimation, you will begin to absorb what you eat, therefore allowing your body  to utilize all of the essiental vitamins, minerals, and enzymes you need to live a Healthy, Happy Life.

Don’t just take my word for any of this. I encourage YOU to take the challenge of eating nothing but RAW living foods or foods in their natural state, i.e. fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. Basically, NO cooking or heating foods over 118 degrees for 7 days, and see how YOU feel! At the very least, eat 70-80% RAW living foods and 20-30% steamed or baked on low temperatures and see the difference!

Think about this for a second…Imagine your body as a High Performance Exotic car. If you put in Regular Unleaded gasoline as the fuel, your Exotic car wouldn’t have the best performance. It would be very Sub-Par at best. However, when you put SUPER high ocatane gasoline in, it runs like the high performance machine that it’s designed to be. The same is true for your body. We are all made up of energy and we require foods that contain lifeforce energy for health and vitality . Your body was NOT designed to be fatiqued, sick all the time with diseases and to suffer. It’s designed to survive and THRIVE! It’s our birth right to feel GOOD, be in good Health and THRIVE while we are here on this beautiful earth.

The choice is yours my dear friends…

I encourage you to explore the idea of getting in more RAW Living foods on a daily basis. Begin NOW by simply adding in more fresh organic fruits, vegetables, soaked nuts and seeds. Consider this…It’s been said that diseases cannot live in an Alkaline environment.

A Sneak Peak At What A RAW Vegan Athlete Consumes!

I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately on how I get my day started, and what kind of food I eat throughout the day.

body

If you’re ready, I’ll give you a sneak peak at what a RAW Vegan Athlete’s day looks like!

I always begin my mornings by waking up, of course, and then I go right for the hydration pump! Thats right, I rehydrate to get the juices flowing, and drink at least 32oz of spring water with fresh squeezed lemon, and sometimes, if I need a little more pep in my step, I’ll add a little cayenne pepper and some turmeric powders to shake things up a bit. This really opens up the cardiovascular system  and gets some serious blood pumping and supports the immune system.

The rest of my day typically looks like this…90% of the time I eat Raw organic fruits and vegetables, and the other 10% of the time, I might choose to  balance out with steamed veggies, rice , sprouted quinoa and/or MAYBE a baked potato. I will often go with 3 big green smoothies with lots of bananas and dates as my base along with a few other goodies, and plug in 3 32oz. jars of alkaline green juices, which almost always includes one of my favorite ingredients, watercress!

D I N N E R is always a treat and like an art show for me, where I get to be CREATIVE, have fun, and INDULGE! After fasting most of the day and giving my digestive tract a break from digesting heavy foods, I am ready to eat by 5 or 6 pm. I’ll typically make a HUGE rainbow salad and top it off with all of the healthy fats and fresh living sprouts that I can get in there!

Oh and I can’t forget about the best part, the dressing!  I go CRAZY with the dressing and make a huge amount of it! I almost always use an avocado base with a citrus fruit of some sort to give it some serious zing and zest, and then pour it on heavy with some kale chips and sit and ENJOY with a big smile!

I really don’t have a specific regiment that I follow, I just focus on abundance, and filling in 90% of my day with Organic Raw foods, smoothies, and or green juices, and leave the other 10% as what I call wiggle room. I do love the energy and the

way I feel when I am on the green smoothies and juices though, it’s powerful stuff! Don’t take my word for it, give it a try!

I love this saying, “Nothing looks as good as being healthy feels”

Have the best day ever friends!

The real truth about eating fruit is exposed

Grapes
IMWellness

Fruit has had a bad reputation over the years and many people are afraid to eat it, because of fear of gaining weight or getting too much sugar. Raw fruits and vegetables are balanced in their simple sugars, amino acids and fatty acids. The fructose sugar found in Raw fruits is a simple sugar that helps strengthen and energize cells of the body, and this is one reason why your body becomes stronger and more energetic on these foods. Simple sugars also aid alkalization of the tissues, which is vital for tissue regeneration and vitality. Fructose is the highest electrical sugar in nature and is also superb for brain and nerve regeneration.

The best time to consume your fruit is first thing in the morning before heavier meals. Fruits and melons digetst very quickly. When combined with foods that digest slowly, their sugars are held up in the stomach. This results in the fermintation of the undigested sugar, which then yields alcohol. This alcohol from fermenatation of food sugars raises blood alcohol levels. So always remember to eat your fruits alone. The body responds best to eating mono fruit meals, which is simply eating as much as you want of any specific fruit. Two of my favorite mono meals are melons and dark grapes. The darker the grapes, the more cleansing effects they will have. There is an old saying about melons. Eat melons alone or leave them alone, because they do not combine well with other fruit. Melons are extremely hydrating and nurishing to the adrenal glands, making it a great fruit to energize the cells and to get your morning off to a great start! Check with your local farmers markets to see what fruits are in season, and give it a go!

Did you know that eating fresh organic raw fruit actually saves energy for the body and cells, because it doesn’t require insulin or ATP (adenosine triphosphate) to transport the nutrients across the cell walls, it’s simply pulled or absorbed through the cell wall by diffusion. Because of this, eating fruit can be benificial for diabetics, especially if they remove complex sugars from their diets. Complex sugars create excessive glucose levels in the blood, which then creates more insulin demand. I am not a medical doctor, and this is not medical advice, so you should always consult with your medical doctor and monitor your blood sugar levels when eating fruit.

Have fun on your health journey and please continue to follow my blog. Many thanks for reading this article.

Have a Healthy, Happy Day!!!

Are you using Apple Cider Vinegar? 10 Amazing benefits revealed in this article

apple ciderI know what you’re thinking, vinegar, gross! As far back as 400 B.C., Hippocrates (known as father of modern medicine), used apple cider vinegar to find remedy in a variety of different illnesses. From  improved insulin levels to weight loss, adding apple cider vinegar as an addition to your daily regimen may make some significant changes.

I discovered Bragg’s Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar a few years ago after someone told me that it can help balance the body’s PH, and can help you stay slim and trim. One of the most valuable things that I have learned along my health journey, is that keeping your body’s PH in balance is vital to maintaining a good level of health. Simply put, diseases cannot live in an alkaline environment because it starves them of the energy they need to develop. This can be beneficial to cancer patients and anyone looking to improve their health.

There are many uses and benefits for Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV). It can be used internally and externally.

Here are 10 benefits to using Apple Cider Vinegar:

– 1-2 Tsp per day in 8 oz of water in the morning, mid-day and mid-afternoon can help energize your body and balance your body’s PH.

  • Weight loss– ACV contains Acetic acid, and studies have linked this to weight loss. Consuming ACV daily can help encourage weight loss when combined with a healthy balanced lifestyle.
  • Increased Energy– 1-2 tsp in 8-16 oz. of water in the morning can help energize your body and balance your body PH levels
  • Decrease muscle soreness- ACV is rich in enzymes and potassium. It can relieve sore muscles when applied to a cloth and rubbed on sore muscles.
  • Detoxifying properties– Helps remove body sludge toxins, mucus and supports a healthy immune system.
  • May benefit Type 2 Diabetics–  According to researchers from the Department of nutrition at Arizona State,  ACV could be beneficial for those who have type 2 diabetes. Studies have shown that ACV improves insulin sensitivity in type 2 diabetics when they consume a high carbohydrate meal.
  • May be a Cancer preventative- In 2005, scientist at the A.P. John institute for cancer announced that acetic acid effectively kills cancer cells by “Starving” them of the energy they need to develop.
  • Anti-Septic, Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Fungal
  • Healthy Skin– It can be applied as a facial toner
  • Promotes Healthy Digestion- 1 tsp in 8-16 oz. of spring water before meal-time
  • Add shine to your hair– Use 1/2 tbsp of ACV per 8 oz. of water. I fill a spray bottle and spray it through my hair after shampooing several times per week for best results.

I want to emphasize that all apple cider vinegar’s are not created equal. What you want to look for is Raw, unfiltered, unpasteurized, apple cider vinegar. This will have the strongest, live enzymatic and the most potent healthy bacteria, giving you the most bang for your buck. The organic Unpasteurized versions on the store shelves will contain the “Mother of vinegar”, which is what the cob-webbed like sediment that you will see floating in the bottom of the bottle is, which is where all the good bacteria comes from.

One of the most reliable brands that I’ve found is Bragg’s Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar. It’s inexpensive, long-lasting and can be found in most grocery stores and health food stores.

The Bragg’s Organic Raw Apple Cider brand is Raw, unfiltered, unheated, Unpasteurized and has 5% acidity. It also contains the amazing “Mother of vinegar”, which is where all the healthy bacteria comes from.

Enjoy ACV in the morning and or before meal-time for best results. It is recommended to take 1-2 Tsp in 8-16 oz. of spring water. If you find the taste to be too bitter, try adding some organic honey or stevia. Because vinegar can strip the enamel off your teeth, a little tip that I learned, is to rinse your mouth out with water after consuming and or use a glass straw.

The simplicity involved in making this pudding will blow your socks off. With a few simple ingredients and a blender, preferably a Vitamix (for power purposes), you will get instant satisfaction without having to, or even wanting to splurge on something you may regret later on.

I must say, one of my all time favorite sugar craving curbers, are dates. When you include them in a recipe like this pudding, you will get the right amount of sugar to satisfy your sugar “need”, as well as the perfect amount to sustain you energy wise.

Chocolate Pudding Ingredients:

-1 Ripe Avocado

– 1-2 Ripe Bananas ( i.e., Brown spots)

-6-8 Pitted Dates

-1/4 Cup of Cacao Powder

-1 Tsp of Cinnamon

-1 Tbsp of Vanilla extract

-2 Tbsp of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

– Dash of Sea Salt

Preparation:

Add all of the ingredients into a blender and blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Zughetti Pesto Pasta

Pasta Four years ago, I embarked on a journey to improve my health due to some unforeseen health challenges that arose at an early age. I started introducing more RAW foods, i.e. natural foods, in their natural states, into my lifestyle. As a result, my body started craving more of these foods and craved less of the other stuff. It’s truly amazing how quickly the body can evolve, as well as begin to thrive and heal itself when we consume more uncooked, unprocessed (RAW) foods in their natural element! For those of you who are transitioning into a raw food diet, or for those of you who already have, the following recipe will surely help curb those pasta, heavy starch cravings! After receiving a lot of feedback about this recipe from people who love their pasta, I am sure you all will delight in it too!

Zughetti Pesto Pasta Recipe:

Spaghetti Noodles:

-6 Zucchini’s spiraled into Spaghetti noodles and then put them into a big bowl.

Pesto Sauce:

-In a food processor, add in 1/2 lbs of Pine Nuts, 1/2 package of basil, 4 tbsp of Braggs Olive oil, 4 heaping tbsp of Nutritional Yeast, 2 Garlic Cloves, 1-2 tbsp of Sea Salt, 1-2 tbsp of Black Pepper and process until the mixture becomes a pesto consistency.

-Once finished with the Pesto Sauce, mix the Pesto Sauce over the noodles. I like to add the toppings into the whole mixture and serve. You may also try adding each item individually.

The topping:

-In a glass bowl, add in 1/4 package of Sun Dried Tomatoes, 1/4 package of baby portobello mushrooms, crushed Red Pepper, 1/2 Lemon and some olive oil and let this marinate for 3-4 hours to soften the mushrooms.

This recipe will make enough to feed 4-6 people. In my opinion, it tastes better the next day after everything has had time to marinate together.
